Panorama Hike
Mountain Pastures and Rocky Mountain Ranges
This tour in a nutshell
Our private guided hike begins on an ancient Roman road that is around 2000 years old. It was part of the Via Raetia that used to connect what is now northern Italy with southern Germany. And yes, you've read correctly: It is two thousand years old. One can only marvel at the craftsmanship, as the old cobble stones still seem so intact.
We carry on through lovely mountain pastures and forests against the backdrop of the dramatic ranges of the Karwendel and Wetterstein mountains. A panorama not to be missed! Our (late) lunch destination also affords us with some of the best vistas in the entire area.
Replenished, we take the cable car down the mountain overlooking Partenkirchen. Back on solid ground, you will find out about darkest Olympic history in the ski stadium of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It was here that the 1936 Olympic Games were held under Hitler with the world applauding.
