This tour in a nutshell

If you want to enjoy long-distance views, immerse yourself in the Bavarian Alps and their pastures and enjoy some authentic food in traditional chalets along the way, this Mountain Food Tour cum guided hike is for you! After around an hour on the train (and a few minutes on the bus) from Munich wee zoom up the mountain in a modern cable car and a five minute walk takes us to the summit and beyond.

 

On a gentle hike of around 1.5 hours (with a couple of ascents!) through the rich cultural landscapes of the Alps, you'll discover how the mountains have sustained communities with fresh local food for centuries. Along the trail, we'll visit traditional wooden mountain chalets that serve delicious and sometimes even homegrown fare and we'll explain everything from our cultural landscapes to the traditions of beer brewing. With three yummy food stops, this guided food tour perfectly blends mountain scenery, fresh air, light exercise and culinary delights.
