Bavaria's Rolling Hills
Panorama Hike with Lovely Alpine Vistas and a Cold Surprise
This tour in a nutshell
This guided circuit hike in the region of Fischbachau is a real treat with panoramic views of the Bavarian Alps. On our hike through the the lush rolling hills we enjoy overflowing farmers' gardens, pass through beautiful farms and encounter grazing cattle and horses. A plain pilgrimage church from 1710 AD surprises us with its stories and its exuberant Rococo interior. At a chalet with panoramic vistas that doubles up as an animal sanctuary we treat ourselves to a traditional Bavarian lunch and a cold beer.
Last stop on our tour (if you're up to it): a Kneipp facility that is typical of the region. Treading ice-cold mountain water in this little knee-deep pool will leave you super refreshed – as if you've never walked a single metre.
Dive into the local culture on our guided day trip: Your personal guide will tell you stories about the gnomes living in the mountains, about the cultural landscape of the Alps and the ecology of the alpine region.
